This WIT Wednesday will focus on industry support and resources for employment, skills and training opportunities, to address the devastating impact of Covid-19 on the hospitality, travel and tourism sectors.

The speakers joining us for this event will offer updates on current and future support and opportunities for those facing redundancy or looking to retrain and acquire new skills.  Please join us to hear from:

  • Fergus Ewing, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy and Tourism
  • Lawrence Durden, Sector Manager, Tourism, Skills Development Scotland, STERG (Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group)
  • Professor Anna Leask, Tourism Management, Business School, Edinburgh Napier University

We also welcome Julie Grieve, CEO of Criton, from the Women in Tourism Board, who will give a brief overview of mentoring opportunities through WIT, and David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland who will provide updates from the organisation.

There will be time for a Q&A session and WIT will provide links to resources and information after the webinar.

Please register to receive Zoom joining details nearer to the event.
